For the opening of the reconstructed classic lane in the The Hague, 20 lightboxes were installed for one month. On one side of the lightboxes you could see a selection of historical photographs of the lane and it’s buildings. From the 19 century pictures of Alexandrine Tinne to the protests in front of the Amercan Embassy in the 60’s.
At the other side of the lightboxes I showed a series I made in the interiors of the aristocratic houses, embassies, theathers and hotels, rich classic housing full of ornaments, velvet, and antique tiles. A glorification of welth through the ages.
