'Stage Fright'
In the project Stage Fright I explore the possibilities of the stage. A stage represents a complex dynamic, first concealing and later revealing a spectacle, heightening the sense of anticipation for the act to come. An embarrassing spot to fail. In my works I show the thing layer of glamour, the spectacle as being incorporated in society (according to Guy Debord). In places like Las Vegas I take photos and in the studio or exhibition space I construct, creating a moment of danger and distrust towards what you see, like a 'mirage', in connection to your own want’s and fears towards success. The euphoria or disappointment.
